Coastal Cup Events for September and December, 2010

Coastal Cup would like to announce 2 new events this fall. There will be a tournament at The Box in Chantilly, VA September 17-19, 2010. All age groups form 8U-Adult. Cost is $525/team. The age determination will be December 31, 2009 for the last time this year. Coastal Cuo also announces a new venue. 422Sportsplex in Pottstown, PA will be host to the Coastal Cup December 11-12, 2009. All age groups are welcome. The age determination will be December 31, 2010 for the tournament at 422Sportsplex. It is a 2 rink facility so Coastal Cup will have 2 divisions in each age group if the numbers are there. Cost will be $525/team. Both tournaments will have a 4 game guarantee.

The tournament in Pottstown, PA will officially start the 2010-2011 season for Coastal Cup. The remaining schedule will hopefully be out by the end of August. There is one new date on the Coastal Cup schedule at this time: SGAA in Snelville, GA March 11-13, 2011.

Travel Lite will begin in January, 2011 and run through May, 2011. I will be contacting programs concerning the Travel Lite or they can contact me at 919-656-0467 or bob@coastalcup.com.

Coastal Cup would like some ideas on where to have its annual Spring Break Tournament that affects the Wake County Roller Hockey Players. Since Myrtle Beach is closed, I would like your input.

First Coastal Cup Indoor Lacrosse Tournament comes to the SGAA in Georgia

The 1st Annual Coastal Cup Indoor Lacrosse Tournament is coming to the SGAA facility in Georgia. The tournament will be August 13-15, 2010. Age groups will be U11, U13, U15, High School Boys and Girls and Adult Divisions. All teams are guaranteed 4 games. The cost is $600/team.

The tournament is run by Bob Boucher. I am the Owner of Coastal Cup. I have been in the Indoor Sports Facility industry for 10 years. My wife and I were the original owners of The Dream Sports Center in Apex, NC. We have been involved in indoor soccer, roler hockey, basketball, and baseball programs for 15 years. I was the hockey director at the DSC. We are still currently investors in The DSC in Apex, NC but I have ventured out just recently into the tournament series. Coastal Cup has run roller hockey tournaments for 10 years but recently has gotten involved in lacrosse during the months of August-October. We are excited about adding lacrosse and we will run them with the same enthusiasm and organization that we have with roller hockey.

Sign up has begun on the Coastal Cup website. Teams can start registering. All teams are welcome to register. If you have any questions, please call Bob Boucher at 919-656-0467 or e-mail bob@coastalcup.com. You can send a check to the address on the website and you will get an instant receipt. The schedules will be posted no later than the Wednesday of tournament week on the home page of the website. I hope to have the schedule out before that if we fill up and every team is paid up.

Coastal Cup will be conducting Box Lacrosse tournaments at other locations in late summer/early Fall: Charlotte, NC, Richmond, VA, Chantilly, VA, Pottstown, PA and possibly Wilmington, NC. The plan is to make these tournaments an annual event and expand into other areas.

The rules will be posted on the rules section of the Website by the first part of next week.

Coastal Cup Box Lacrosse Tournaments

Coastal Cup is adding a new sport starting in August, 2010. The new sports is Box Lacrosse. The first tournament is going to be held at The S.G.A.A in Snelville August 13-15. We have plans for The Box in Chantilly,VA, Charlotte, NC and Pottstown, PA at 422Sportsplex in September and October. Age groups will be U9, U11, U13, U15, High School and Adult Divisions.
